Professor
Miodrag Zlatanovic was born in 1947 in
Belgrade, Serbia. He graduated at the Faculty
of Electrical Engineering, Belgrade University
and received his Master of Science and
PhD degree. He joined the Institute of
Physics in Belgrade in 1970 and the Faculty
of Electrical Engineering in 1972. He was
visiting scientist at the direct energy
conversion group at the Eindhoven University
of Technology, Netherlands. He is co-author
of over 200 scientific papers in the field
of optical spectroscopy, magneto hydrodynamic
energy conversion, sensors and plasma surface
engineering and he has given several invited
talks at the International scientific conferences.
As the author of over 100 technical contributions
in the field of plasma surface technology
he got the award for innovations and the
gold medal for contribution to the development
of tractor industry. He pioneered the work
in the field of combined diffusion and
deposition techniques which is today one
of the most beneficial industrial applications
of plasma surface treatments. As one of
the founders of University-Industry Center
for Plasma Technology he successfully combined
laboratory results and mass production
know-how. Currently he is professor at
the Faculty of Electrical Engineering conducting
courses in Sensors, Engineering Thermodynamics
and Renewable Energy Conversion, Plasma
Technology and Atomic and Molecular Spectroscopy. |
